General Description
2-Ethylimidazole is a versatile intermediate with a variety of applications. It is used as a building block for active ingredients as well as in epoxy curing. It was used in the synthesis of razaxaban a highly potent selective and orally bioavailable factor Xa inhibitor. It can also be used to synthesize 4-aryl-5-cyano-2-aminopyrimidines as VEGF-R2 inhibitors.
