General Description
Corticosterone (Cort) is a glucocorticoid hormone.[8]It is also the principal hormone that mediates stress responses in birds.[11]It is the primary adrenal cortical steroid in rat plasma.[9]The influence of maternal Cort exposure on the developing placenta has been studied in a mouse model.
