Application
5-(4-Nitrophenyl)furfural was used in the synthesis of (E)-methyl 3-(5-(4-nitrophenyl)furan-2-yl)acrylate. It may be used in the synthesis of 2-[5(6)-N-isopropylamidino-2-benzimidazoyl]-5-(4-nitrophenyl)furan[2] and 2-[(3-methylquinoxalin-2-yl)oxy]-N-(1E)-[5-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-furfuryl]methyleneacetohydrazide a quinoxaline-incorporated Schiff base.
