General Description
Eplerenone is an aldosterone blocker which particularly blocks mineralocorticoid receptor. It reduces cardiovascular risk in patients following acute myocardial infarction.[1]Eplerenone is used for treating hypertension and central serous retinopathy.[2][4]It exhibits potassium sparing diuretic effect.
