General Description
Ethyl 2-acetoxybenzoate can be synthesized by reacting ethyl salicylate and acetic anhydride in the presence of zeolite H.[1]It can also be obtained from the reaction between acetylsalicyloyl chloride (in pyridine) with ethanol.
