Description
Recommended products
Titanium(IV) Ethoxide (contains 35% Tetraisopropyl Orthotitanate at maximum)
Application
Titanium ethoxide is used widely as a precursor for the synthesis of Ti4ionstitania nanoparticles by various techniques such as in the sol-gel synthesis of free-standing ferroelectric lead zirconate titanate nanoparticles spherical titania cores produced either by hydrolysis of Ti(IV) ethoxide droplets in contact with water vapor or by preadsorption of the titanium alkoxides intoonto the clay mineral platelets and their subsequent hydrolysis and calcination.
Purpose
For R&D use onlynot for drug household or other uses.
General Description
Titanium ethoxide is a chemical compound with the formula Ti4(OCH2CH3)16. It is a colorless solid that is soluble in organic solvents but hydrolyzes readily. It is sold commercially as a colorless solution. Alkoxides of titanium(IV) and zirconium(IV) are used in organic synthesis and materials science. They adopt more complex structures than suggested by their empirical formulas.
