Mestranol 98.0%(HPLC)
Application
DMPUHF can be used as a nucleophilic fluorinating agent in fluoro-Prins reaction for the synthesis of substituted 4-fluorotetrahydropyrans and 4-fluoropiperidines. Versatile solvent employed in N-alkylation of chiral primary amines O-alkylation of aldoses and in the synthesis of poly(aryl ethers).
Purpose
For R&D use onlynot for drug household or other uses.
General Description
13-Dimethyl-3456-tetrahydro-2(1H)-pyrimidinone (DMPU) is a cyclic urea sometimes used as a polar aprotic organic solvent. In 1985 Dieter Seebach showed that it is possible to substitute the relatively toxic hexamethylphosphoramide (HMPA) with DMPU.
