Description
Recommended products
2-(3-Chloropropyl)-2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-13-Dioxolane 98.0%(GC)
Application
15-Crown-5 can be usedAs a phase transfer catalyst for the preparation of polyphenylacetylene (PPA) by anionic polymerization of phenylacetylene with sodium amide (NaNH2). In the allylic alkylation of allyl acetates by malonates with palladium complex catalysts. 15-Crown-5 is a crown ether that is generally used as a ligand in coordination chemistry.[1] It shows the ability to complexes with alkali metal ions.
Purpose
For R&D use onlynot for drug household or other uses.
General Description
15-Crown-5 is a crown ether generally used as a ligand in coordination chemistry because of its strong chelating property with certain alkali cations to form complexes.[4]Some derivatives of 15-crown-5 are used as sensors and probes in different physical-chemical processes phase-transfer reactions and selective capture of ions for separation and transport.
