Application
26-Dimethylaniline can react with 1-Naphthaldehyde to form an intermediate bis(4-amino-35-dimethylphenyl)naphthylmethane (BADN) to further form bis(4-maleimido-35-dimethylphenyl)naphthylmethane (BMDN) by reacting with maleic anhydride acetic anhydride and sodium acetate.

General Description
26-Xylidine is an aniline derivative with the chemical formula (CH3)2C6H3NH2. It is an isomer of 24-xylidine and 34-xylidine. It is a colourless liquid although commercial samples can appear to be yellow or even red.
