Application
[2-(Dimethylamino)ethyl]triphenylphosphonium Bromide can be used as a polymerizable cationic surfactant for the intercalation of montmorillonite (MMT) used in the synthesis of polystyrene-clay nanocomposite materials. It can also be used for the synthesis of some analogs of morphine 6-glucuronide through Wittig reactions.
