Description
Application
2-Propanol (Isopropanol) can be used in various processes including Extraction and HPLC-based quantification of carotenes and xanthophylls from Capsicum annuum pericarp. Dissolving Pt and TiO precursors for fabricating Pt-TiOTi electrodes. Serving as a solvent in the Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling synthesis of di- and trisubstituted ortho biaryls. Acting as an alternative to benzene for analyzing total carbonyl compounds in heated or frying oils. Providing a reaction medium for preparing cyclic ureas from CO and diamines using CeO.
Purpose
Suitable for HPLC spectrophotometry environmental testing
General Description
2-Propanol (Isopropanol) a secondary alcohol has diverse applications. It has been explored as an alternative fuel in fuel cells used as a solvent for laser-assisted synthesis of Cu colloids and combined with Zn(NO) to fabricate TiO-coated stainless steel photoanodes for electrochemical photocatalytic degradation. It also serves as a precursor for methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) synthesis and as a solvent to study the solubility of benzoic acid over 277346 K.
