Description
Application
1-Naphthoic acid can be used as a reactant to prepare Perinaphthenones by dehydrative annulation with alkynes in the presence of rhodium catalyst. Isocoumarin derivatives by reacting with 2-butyne via aerobic oxidative cyclization using Rh catalyst. N-Methoxy-N-methyl-1-naphthalenecarboxamide (Weinreb amide) by reacting with NO-dimethylhydroxylamine and phosphorus trichloride.
Purpose
For R&D use onlynot for drug household or other uses.
General Description
1-Naphthalenecarboxylic Acid is a building block in the synthesis of various pharmaceutical compounds. It can be used in synthesis and evaluation of naphthoic acid derivatives as fluorescent probes to screen advanced glycation end-products breakers namely AGEs which are involved in the pathogenesis of numerous diseases.
