Description
Recommended products
23-Pyridinedicarboxylic Acid 98.0%(GC)
Application
Phthalic acid may be used as a catalyst for the thiocyanation of aromatics and heteroaromaticsand as an interfacial protector for the preparation of ordered mesoporous -alumina.It may be used as a model compound in understanding the adsorption of aromatic carboxylic acids on gold surfaces.
Purpose
For R&D use onlynot for drug household or other uses.
General Description
Phthalic acid (PA PTA) also called as 12-benzenedicarboxylic acidis an aromatic carboxylic acid.It is theorthoform of the three phthalic acid isomers the other two being isophthalic acid (meta form) and terephthalic acid (para form). PA is the starting material in the synthesis of plasticizers. A study on toxicity reveals that PA showsin vitroand in vivotoxicity.
