Application
It is primarily used as an oral antiarrhythmic medication in tablet or capsule form for treating life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias and supraventricular tachycardias. It functions as a sodium channel blocker with weak beta-blocking and calcium channel blocking effects.
Purpose
Its main purpose is to stabilize cardiac cell membranes slow conduction in the His-Purkinje system and prolong PR and QRS intervals to control abnormal heart rhythms like paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia and ventricular arrhythmias.

Propafenone Hydrochloride (CHClNO) is a white to off-white crystalline powder the hydrochloride salt of propafenone with a molecular weight of 377.9 gmol. It melts at 171-175C is slightly soluble in water soluble in methanol and exhibits maximum absorption at 303 nm.
