Undecylic acid (systematically named undecanoic acid) is a naturally occurring carboxylic acid with chemical formula CH3(CH2)9COOH. It is often used as an antifungal agent to treat ringworm and athletes foot for example.[medical citation needed] Like decanoic acid it has a distinctive unpleasant odor.
