General Description
1-Octanol (CHOH) also known as octan-1-ol is a colorless oily liquid with a fatty rose-like odor. It consists of a straight eight-carbon chain with a primary hydroxyl group at one end low water solubility (0.5 g100 mL) boiling point of 195C and density of 0.824 gcm.
