Description
Application
Detritylation Deblocking Reagent for Nucleic Acid Synthesis.
Purpose
it is used as a detritylation reagent in solid-phase DNARNA oligonucleotide synthesis. It removes the 5-DMT protecting group from the growing oligonucleotide chain exposing the hydroxyl group for the next coupling cycle.
General Description
Deblocking solutions used for the cleavage of the 5-DMTr group at the last building block of nucleotide chain can consist either of dichloroacetic or trichloroacetic acid in dichloromethane or toluene.
