Description
Application
Used as an anticonvulsant (especially in veterinary medicine for epilepsy control). Used in photography for film development and as a sedativenerve calming agent (historically).
Purpose
Mainly used as an intermediate in the production of paracetamol (acetaminophen).
General Description
It is an organic compound containing both an amino (-NH) and a hydroxyl (-OH) group attached to a benzene ring. It appears as a white to light brown crystalline solid and is sensitive to air and light often darkening due to oxidation.
