Description
Application
Detritylation Deblocking reagent for nucleic acid synthesis.
Purpose
it is used as a deblockingdetritylation reagent in oligonucleotide synthesis. It removes the 5-dimethoxytrityl (DMTDMTr) protecting group from the growing DNA or RNA chain exposing the 5-hydroxyl group for the next coupling step.
General Description
Deblocking solutions used for the cleavage of the 5-DMTr group at the last building block of nucleotide chain can consist either of dichloroacetic or trichloroacetic acid in dichloromethane or toluene.
