Application
Amantadine Hydrochloride is used in the treatment of Parkinsons disease to reduce symptoms such as tremors stiffness and difficulty in movement. It is also prescribed to manage drug-induced extrapyramidal symptoms caused by certain medications.
Purpose
The main purpose of Amantadine Hydrochloride is to increase the release of dopamine and block certain receptors in the brain which helps improve movement control. It is also used to inhibit the replication of certain viruses particularly influenza A.
