Description
Application
It serves as a solvent in paints inks and cosmetics and is used in pharmaceuticals as a preservative in injectables. Additionally its applied in perfume manufacturing epoxy resin hardeners and as a degreaser.
Purpose
Its primary role is as an aromatic alcohol for esterification reactions oxidation to benzaldehyde and as a bacteriostatic agent in medications. It also acts as a chemical intermediate in organic synthesis.
