Application
It is widely used as a food additive for flavoring preservation and pH adjustment in beverages and candies in cleaning products as a descaler and in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics as an antioxidant and stabilizer.

Its primary purpose is to act as an acidulant for acidification chelation of metal ions to prevent oxidation or scaling and buffering in solutions for food stability and industrial processes.
