Description

Application
Filtration- Used in filtering beer wine oils chemicals and water. Industrial fillers- Added to paints plastics and rubber for strength. Abrasives- Mild abrasive in polishes and cleaning products. Catalyst support- Used in chemical processing industries. Insulation- Heat-resistant material in furnaces and kilns.

Purpose
Its main purpose is to act as a durable filtering and support material in industrial processes where strength and permeability are important.

General Description
Flux-calcined diatomaceous earth is a processed form of diatomaceous earth that has been heated at very high temperatures with a flux (like soda ash) to increase its strength and modify its structure. White powder made from fossilized remains of microscopic algae (diatoms). Compared to natural diatomaceous earth it has higher mechanical strength and lower absorbency but contains more crystalline silica.
