Description

Application
Diisobutyldimethoxysilane is used in coatings sealants and adhesives to improve adhesion and durability. It is also applied in the treatment of fillers pigments and nanoparticles to enhance their dispersion in polymer matrices.

Purpose
The primary purpose of diisobutyldimethoxysilane is to act as a surface modifier and coupling agent. It improves compatibility between organic materials and inorganic substrates enhances hydrophobicity and provides better resistance to moisture and envi

General Description
Diisobutyldimethoxysilane is a colorless liquid with a chemical structure consisting of a silicon atom bonded to two isobutyl groups and two methoxy group. The methoxy groups are hydrolyzable allowing the compound to react with moisture to form silanol groups which can further condense and bond to inorganic surfaces such as glass silica and metal oxides.
