Description

Application
Diphenyl ether is widely used in industrial applications especially in heat transfer fluids often in combination with Biphenyl. It is also used in the manufacture of fragrances surfactants and polymers as well as in pharmaceutical synthesis. Additionally it can be found in some formulations of agrochemicals and as a solvent in specialized chemical processes.

Purpose
The primary purpose of diphenyl ether is to serve as a heat transfer medium and as a chemical intermediate. Due to its high boiling point and thermal stability it is particularly useful in systems that require efficient heat transfer at elevated temperat

General Description
Diphenyl ether is a colorless crystalline solid or sometimes a high-boiling liquid with a mild aromatic odor. It is relatively stable non-polar and insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. Its structure featuring two benzene rings connected by an oxygen atom contributes to its thermal stability and chemical resistance.
