DMT-2-Fluoro-dA(Bz) Phosphoramidite is used as a building block in the automated solid-phase synthesis of oligonucleotides containing 2-fluoro-modified adenosine residues particularly in RNA analogs and therapeutic nucleic acids.

Its purpose is to incorporate a protected 2-fluoro-2-deoxyadenosine residue into oligonucleotide sequences improving nuclease resistance binding affinity and overall stability while maintaining compatibility with automated synthesis.

DMT-2-Fluoro-dA(Bz) Phosphoramidite is a chemically protected adenosine phosphoramidite in which the 5-hydroxyl group is protected with a dimethoxytrityl (DMT) group the 2-hydroxyl group is replaced by a fluorine atom and the exocyclic amino group of adenine is protected with a benzoyl (Bz) group.
