Application
DMT-2-Fluoro-dC(ac) Phosphoramidite is used as a building block in the automated solid-phase synthesis of oligonucleotides containing 2-fluoro-modified cytidine residues for research diagnostic and therapeutic applications.
Purpose
Its purpose is to introduce a protected 2-fluoro-2-deoxycytidine residue into oligonucleotide sequences enhancing nuclease resistance increasing duplex stability and improving the pharmacological properties of modified nucleic acids.
General Description
DMT-2-Fluoro-dC(ac) Phosphoramidite is a chemically protected cytidine phosphoramidite in which the 5-hydroxyl group is protected with a dimethoxytrityl (DMT) group the 2-hydroxyl group is replaced by a fluorine atom and the exocyclic amino group of cytosine is protected with an acetyl (ac) group making it suitable for efficient stepwise incorporation into oligonucleotides during automated solid-phase synthesis.
