Application
DMT-2-O-Me-G(iBu) Phosphoramidite is used as a building block in the automated solid-phase synthesis of RNA oligonucleotides containing 2-O-methyl guanosine modifications.
Purpose
Its purpose is to incorporate a protected 2-O-methyl guanosine residue into RNA sequences improving the stability nuclease resistance and binding properties of the resulting oligonucleotides.
General Description
DMT-2-O-Me-G(iBu) Phosphoramidite is a chemically protected guanosine phosphoramidite in which the 5-hydroxyl group is protected with a dimethoxytrityl (DMT) group the 2-hydroxyl group is methylated and the guanine exocyclic amino group is protected with an isobutyryl (iBu) group making it suitable for stepwise RNA synthesis.
