Description
Application
It is used as a chelating agent in detergents cosmetics food preservatives biochemistry for DNA extractionprotein stabilization and analytical chemistry to sequester metal ions.
Purpose
Its primary purpose is forming stable water-soluble complexes with divalenttrivalent metal ions (e.g. Ca Mg Fe) to prevent scaling inhibit metal-dependent enzymes and protect against oxidation in solutions.
