Description
Application
Complexometric titrations in analytical chemistry. Water treatment and hardness control. Laboratory reagent for metal ion binding. Cosmetics and pharmaceutical formulations. Cleaning and stabilization processes.
Purpose
The main purpose of this solution is to- Chelate (bind) metal ions. Prevent unwanted metal reactions. Improve chemical stability in formulations. Remove or control metal contamination.
General Description
Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt solution (commonly called Disodium EDTA solution) is a water-based chelating agent solution used in laboratories and industrial applications. It is an aqueous solution of the disodium salt of EDTA prepared at a concentration of 0.5 M (0.5 mol per L) in water. EDTA strongly binds metal ions such as calcium magnesium iron and copper.
