Description
Application
Trace moisture analysis by coulometric Karl Fischer titration. Testing of pharmaceuticals chemicals petrochemicals oils solvents and other materials. Routine quality control and laboratory moisture determination.
Purpose
To provide the chemical medium required for the electrochemical generation of iodine and the quantitative reaction with water enabling accurate measurement of low moisture levels.
General Description
Coulomat A is an anolyte reagent used in coulometric Karl Fischer titration for the determination of trace amounts of water in liquid solid and gaseous samples. It serves as the electrolyte solution in the anode compartment of the Karl Fischer cell where iodine is generated electrochemically for the moisture determination reaction.
