Purpose
Used mainly as a strong acid and reducing agent to drive chemical reactions especially in organic and industrial synthesis.
General Description
Clear to slightly yellow liquid with a sharp odor. Highly acidic and corrosive. Strong reducing agent (readily donates electrons).
