Description
Application
Used in analytical chemistry for detecting halides and other ions. Employed in the manufacture of pigments and dyes. Used in gold cyanidation to improve extraction efficiency. Acts as a heat stabilizer in some industrial processes.
Purpose
Its main role is to provide a soluble source of lead ions for chemical reactions especially in analysis synthesis and certain industrial applications.
General Description
A colorless or white crystalline inorganic compound that is highly soluble in water. It is one of the few common lead salts that dissolves easily making it useful in laboratory chemistry. It is toxic due to the presence of lead.
