Description
Application
It is primarily used in lithium-ion battery production as a precursor for cathode materials in air purification systems to absorb carbon dioxide (especially in spacecraft and submarines) and in grease manufacturing as a thickening agent.
Purpose
Its main purpose is to serve as an alkali for neutralizing acids CO2 scrubbing via the reaction 2LiOH CO2 Li2CO3 H2O and providing lithium in chemical synthesis for batteries and other electrochemical applications.
