Description
Application
Sulfo-NHS is widely utilized in chemical and biological applications especially for covalent bonding in conjugation reactions. It is most commonly applied in the crosslinking of proteins antibodies or nucleic acids to solid supports in diagnostic assays such as ELISA or in biochemistry experiments that require stable protein or peptide linkages. It can also be used in protein microarrays and in the preparation of conjugates for drug delivery systems or vaccines.
Purpose
For R&D
General Description
N-Hydroxysulfosuccinimide Sodium Salt (often abbreviated as Sulfo-NHS) is a water-soluble derivative of N-hydroxysuccinimide. It is commonly used in bioconjugation reactions primarily for linking proteins peptides and other biomolecules to surfaces or other molecules. It contains a sulfonic acid group making it highly soluble in aqueous solutions and is often preferred in experiments that involve protein labeling and immobilization.
