Purpose
Its purpose includes selective absorption of acid gases in industrial processes emulsification in cleaners and as a building block in chemical synthesis due to its basic and nucleophilic properties.

N-Methyldiethanolamine (MDEA CAS 105-59-9) is a colorless to pale yellow liquid tertiary amine with formula CHNO molecular weight 119.16 gmol boiling point around 243-248 C density 1.038 gmL and fully miscible with water.
