Description
Application
It is commonly used as a solvent in pharmaceuticals cosmetics inks and cleaning products as well as in the manufacture of chemicals.
Purpose
Its main purpose is to act as an effective solvent and intermediate in chemical synthesis due to its ability to dissolve a wide range of substances.
General Description
1-Propanol is a linear alcohol that shows a Debye-type relaxation process similar to the -relaxation and Johari-Goldstein -relaxation observed in supercooled non-hydrogen-bonding liquids. It has been investigated as an alternative fuel for fuel cells and its biosynthesis from glucose using Escherichia coli has been proposed.
