Description
Application
N-Vanillylnonanamide is mainly used as a capsaicin substitute in products that require a strong warming pungent or irritant effect. It is also used in some pharmaceutical and topical formulations for its ability to activate sensory nerve receptors.
Purpose
Its primary purpose is to stimulate TRPV1 receptors which can produce sensations of heat burning or warmth. In topical preparations this property can be used to produce a counter-irritant or analgesic effect.
