General Description
N O-Bis(Trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide (BSTFA) is an organic silylating reagent widely used in analytical chemistry. Colorless to pale yellow liquid. Moisture-sensitive and volatile. Reacts readily with compounds containing active hydrogen (OH NH COOH). Produces trimethylsilyl (TMS) derivatives.
