Description
Application
It rust-proofs metals etches glass and ceramics flavors soft drinks as an acidulant and produces phosphate fertilizers detergents and flame retardants.
Purpose
Its primary purpose is pH adjustment corrosion inhibition and as a precursor for phosphates in fertilizers food processing and industrial chemicals.
General Description
Orthophosphoric acid is a colorless odorless viscous liquid or white crystalline solid (pure form). It is highly soluble in water has a density of about 1.88 gcm melting point around 42C and acts as a tribasic acid.
