Description
Application
It functions as an analytical reagent for chloride detection via precipitation titrations oxidizing agent in organic synthesis pigment in yellow inkspaints indicator in Mohr titrations and formerly in corrosion inhibitors and textile dyeing.
Purpose
Its primary purpose is providing Cr(VI) for strong oxidation reactions and as a colorimetric indicator (yellow CrO red CrO in acid) though highly toxiccarcinogenic limiting modern use.
