Description
Application
Used as an organic solvent and as an intermediate in pharmaceutical and specialty chemical synthesis. It is also used to prepare tetrahydropyranyl (THP) protecting groups for alcohols and other functional groups.
Purpose
Primarily used as a solvent and as a building blockprotecting-group precursor in organic synthesis helping protect sensitive functional groups during multi-step reactions.
General Description
