Application
1-Decanethiol can be blended with mercaptohexanol to modify the surface of silver for surface enhancement raman scattering(SERS) based applications.[4][5]It can act as a corrosion inhibitor on copper-nickel (CuNi) alloy with an inhibition efficiency of 91%.[6]Zinc doped copper indium sulfide (ZnCuInS2) can be functionalized with 1-decanethiol as a ligand to improve the charge mobility and luminance of organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs).
