Application
Tetrazolium Blue Chloride is used for its anti-plasmodium activity. Also used in the study of inhibition of diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) reduction by -amyloid peptides resulting in neurodegenerative manifestations.
Purpose
For R&D use onlynot for drug household or other uses.
General Description
Tetrazolium blue chloride (BTC) is a colorless tetrazolium compound that upon reduction forms a colored diformazan.[4]The reactivity has been applied to the analysis of reducing compounds including the nanomolar detection of reducing sugars[2]and carbidopa and methyldopa.[5]BTC has been used for histological staining of mouse coronal brain sections[3]and rat brain sections.
