Application
Cellotriose a 3-glucose cellulodextrin derived from cellulose degradation similar to cellulobiose (2-glucose) cellulotetralose (4-glucose) and cellulopentaose (5-glucose) is used by cellulosic bacteria as sources of energy.It may be used to help identify differentiate and characterize oligosaccharide metabolizing enzymes such as endoglucanases and -glucosidase(s). Cellotriose may be used in saccharification and ethanol fermentation research.
