Sodium cholate hydrate has been used in a study to assess the effect of phospholipid formulation and surfactants on the dermal delivery of hydrophilic drugs from elastic liposomes.[2]It has also been used in a study to investigate the elastic deformable vesicles transfersomes for transdermal drug delivery.
