Description
Application
-linolenic acid has been used as an analytical standard in gas chromatography.[2][1]It may be used in nutritional studies regarding weight regain and as a possible tumor suppression agent. -linolenic acid is used in studies on the mechanisms and prevention of oxidationperoxidation of unsaturated fatty acids.
Purpose
For R&D use onlynot for drug household or other uses.
General Description
Gamma-linolenic acid or GLA (-Linolenic acid) (INN and USAN gamolenic acid) is a fatty acid found primarily in vegetable oils. When acting on GLA 5-lipoxygenase produces no leukotrienes and the conversion by the enzyme of arachidonic acid to leukotrienes is inhibited.
