Description

Application
Cystamine dihydrochloride can be utilized as a building block in the synthesis of disulfide cross-linked oligodeoxyribonucleotides[1]and psammaplin A[2]. It can be also used to functionalize PGMA (poly(glycidyl methacrylate) microsphere) by introducing sulfhydryl groups for the further fabrication of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs).

Purpose
For R&D use onlynot for drug household or other uses.

General Description
Cystamine dihydrochloride is the dihydrochloride salt of Cystamine a neuroprotective drug that works by inhibiting transglutaminase activity in the body. Cystamine has also exhibited suppressive effects against HIV replication in infected human cells.
