Application
Tetraethylammonium chloride (TEAC) has been used used for inhibition of peroxynitrite induced relaxation in rat aorta rings as a pharmacological blocker of K current and Ca2 induced K current in antennal lobe neurons for the induction of TEAC sensitive currents in cochlear inner hair cells digested with proteolytic enzymes and analyze its properties.

Tetraethylammonium chloride (TEAC) is a quaternary ammonium compound with the chemical formula C8H20NCl sometimes written as Et4NCl. In appearance it is a hygroscopic colorless crystalline solid. It has been used as the source of tetraethylammonium ions in pharmacological and physiological studies but is also used in organic chemical synthesis.
