Target AntibacterialCefmetazole sodium has a broad spectrum of activity comparable to that of the second-generation cephalosporins covering gram-positive gram-negative and anaerobic bacteria. Unlike the second-generation cephalosporins cephamycins such as cefmetazole are usually active against Bacteroides fragilis.
